Sergey: thanks for the following even if their response is
disappointing.

The problem is that still requires a GUI.  For SoX (a
command-line application); requiring a GUI isn't acceptable,
as there's blind users on the list.

Getting the audio CAPTCHAs to work on lynx or w3m wouldn't be
trivial, either.

Yes, I generally avoid registering for websites, too.
