If anyone is attempting an install from .iso files on the hard drive, it
will fail unless all 3 image files are available. Silly, since a base
install is possible with only the first image, and some of the machines
we are targeting won't have the disk space for all 3 images.
I've patched it for the next release, but for the time being you can work
around it by:
Create and mount the updates disk.
Edit /mnt/floppy/harddrive.py
At line 174, replace "sys.exit(0)" with "break"
Save, unmount, and install normally.
You will see an error message about the missing images, but hitting the
"OK" button will dismiss the warning rather than rebooting the machine.
Since I've heard nothing either way, has anyone tried either of the latest
slinky or miniconda installers with the 7.3 release?
