No, if you close the submission this will just mark the item as
closed.  I removed the attachment (using the trashbox icon in the
Attachments setion).

As for uploaded files during the submission, this is handled
separately - I removed it manually.  Usually I run a script that
removes all files older than 2 or 3 months, but currently this would
be error-prone ;)
