I think Savannah could be losing with the images are not being cached.
If I understand correctly this means every time someone visits a page
on Savannah with the Floating GNU or another non-cached image, they
redownload the image. If it were cached, I believe it would use the
file that was already on the client's computer.
I am using IceCat and you can right click on an image and select
properties it should tell you if it is not cached.
