Samuel Kingston <address@hidden> described the package as follows:

Package: AIDB based PIG file system
System name: pigfs
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
PIG or AIDB is a File system using purely associative methodology.
It will increase file seek performance without asking the user to store their
files in any organized fashion.
PIG was founded off an associative database structure which demonstrates
learning capability similar to a neural network.
As a file system it does not exist. As a database it has been used in many
previous projects and functions very well. The purpose of this project is to
put these concepts to use as a file system initially for Linux.
