Everton da Silva Marques <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Resolver User Layer Interface
System name: ruli
Type: non-GNU
Description:
RULI stands for Resolver User Layer Interface.
RULI currently is a small library targeted at providing
a practical interface for querying DNS SRV records
(RFC 2782).
RULI already exists and is distributed under GNU GPL.
RULI development was stuck on version 0.6 due to
design problems. Now the major design concerns
are solved and development is actively leading
to a stable version.
Current RULI development happens on SourceForge:
http://ruli.sf.net
One can check the latest active CVS tree here:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ruli/ruli_air/
This is the DEPRECATED CVS tree:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/ruli/ruli/
The new RULI code is near a stable release and I\'d
like to move RULI from SourceForge to Savannah before
the new announcement.
The future goal of RULI is to provide an easy-to-use
interface for handling of DNS SRV records. Once the
basic funcionality is done, RULI will aim at
offering comprehensive support for all SRV-related
issues and standards, as such:
- support for SRV referencing AAAA records;
- support for service-specific details (_sip._tcp);
- etc.
Other Software Required:
RULI requires:
- GNU libc
- Liboop (http://liboop.org)
