I removed the pending submission.
Here is the text of the submission:
nk-optics is a program which computes optical properties of multilayer
thin-film coatings. Dielectric, metallic, and granular films are
supported. The nk-optics package includes a SCM script (program)
named "nk" to create, manage, and query a refractive-index spectra
database. Included is a validation test suite comparing nk-optics
runs with simulations from other sources.
nk-optics is an application of the SCM Scheme implementation and the
WB B-tree database package. nk-optics home page is
http://swiss.csail.mit.edu/~jaffer/nk-optics/.
The package is available from
http://swiss.csail.mit.edu/ftpdir/users/jaffer/nk-optics.zip
Although nk-optics can be used without Sopra data, it is useful.
The nk program can read Sopra format files. These files have a ".nk" suffix.
Some metal spectra includ ed with nk-optics also have a ".nk" suffix, but with
a different format. A bundle of spectra for 278 m aterials is available from:
http://www.sopra-sa.com/more/database.asp (Nov 28, 2000).
The zip file http://www.sspectra.com/files/misc/win/SOPRA.EXE
(Macintosh http://www.sspectra.com/files/misc/mac/Sopra.sea.hqx)
contains "README.TXT" identifying the Sopra files.
