Oh.  You didn't explain that before.  I expect the confirmation mail was
filtered as spam and you could have found it that way.  That often
happens with gmail.

    error message popped up "Account Pending" but after two days error
    message changed to

Sure, if no confirmation happens, that is the expected (and desired)
behavior.

Anyway, I did see your pending account request now and activated it by
hand, so you should be able to log in to savannah now.  I also went
ahead and added you to the recutils project, so you should be able to
commit to its repositories.  I'm sure Jose will explain whatever
project-specific stuff is necessary.

Sorry for the painful experience.  Happy hacking now :),
