Hello,
A few words about this list. This is a list to ask advice and discuss
on security issues. The topic of the list is deliberately left broad and
open to allow discussions on security topics that are of general
interest to GNU maintainers. The list is not moderated and subscription
policy is open. (although, mail from non-list members is not allowed).
The purpose of the list is to have a place to discuss security matters
that are more general than something applicable to only one project. For
example, general "secure programming" discussions, cryptography, and
network protocol issues. Forwarding an issue that occurred in a GNU
project, either to ask advice or just inform other maintainers is
allowed and I'd say encouraged. However using this list to report
security issues on GNU projects is not allowed. To do the latter use the
projects' contact addresses.
best regards,
Nikos
