ftp automation script pc-> unix

Hi,
i need a ftp automation script that run on PC/DOS.
user
enters hostname and filename as arguments to the
script command. script transfers the file from the
remote host.
does anyone have such script?. If yes, can you share?.
if yes,
can you explainhow to install and run?.
