Well, there's is Portrait.xbm with Portrait_mask.xbm as mask, which is
what Sketch 0.6 uses as the icon at runtime. It would be nice to have a
better icon than that, though.

Indeed. Although I'd have to see it before I decide :)

When I made the first releases in 1998 I thought that there should be a
contest for a Sketch logo and icon for the 1.0 version. 1.0 seems to be
even further in the future now as it seemed back then -- I probably was
too naive and optimistic back then :) -- so we might as well get a real
icon now.

FWIW, Sourceforge's download statistics for Sketch suggest that the tgz
is about as popular as all the RPMs combined:
sketch-0.6.15-1-rh7x.i386.rpm 420
sketch-0.6.15-1-rh7x.i686.rpm 540
sketch-0.6.15-1-rh8x.i386.rpm 734
sketch-0.6.15-1-rh8x.i686.rpm 1286
sketch-0.6.15-1.src.rpm 907
sketch-0.6.15.tar.gz 3606
