Found it.

The default init.d/sks script starts sks as non-root user (not sure
whether this is Debian specific or not). However if you enable port 80
in the sksconf file sks dies as it isn't able to open that port as
non-root.  Would be nice if it logged an error message saying that's the
problem. Actually it would be nice if it logged any problem at all as
the process just died without any message saying something was wrong.
