Hi,
Newer versions of BDB do this automatically, I believe. However, I have
manually stated that behaviour in KDB/DB_CONFIG (DB_CONFIG gets used in
db_open):
$ cat DB_CONFIG
set_cachesize 0 134217728 1
set_flags DB_LOG_AUTOREMOVE
set_lg_regionmax 1048576
set_lg_max 10485760
set_lg_bsize 2097152
set_lk_detect DB_LOCK_DEFAULT
set_tmp_dir /tmp
This setup has worked for me quite well for last few years.
Regards,
D.
