Folks, the day has finally arrived -- GNU social is at alpha level.

Please go to http://www.gnu.org/software/social/ and download and try
out the alpha -- there are bugs, user interface quirks and an obvious
lack of many social networking features, but you can form relationships
and join groups in a decentralized manner, which is a huge huge win.

I hope you enjoy it, and please work with us to get the next release
even better.
