troubles with speech-dispatcher

Hello,
I'm using arch linux. I did some tests with gnome and of course it
installed pulse audio.
When I removed it i was no longer able to start speech dispatcher. I
removes pulseaudio and gnome. Here is what I get when I try to start
speech-dispatcher.
it's configured to use libao


Failed to connect to Speech Dispatcher:
Error: Can't connect to unix socket
/run/user/1000/speech-dispatcher/speechd.sock: No such file or directory.
Autospawn: Autospawn failed. Speech Dispatcher refused to start with error
code, stating this as a reason

Any ideas?
