It is not, any character would fit, provided you don't have it in your
input.

Normally you would have just disabled the splitting by putting an empty
string. Unfortunately, the libdotconf maintainer is still not responsive
on this known issue.

I guess at some point we'll just have to fork libdotconf to fix the
