Try using tags. A window can have arbitrary set of tags, and there is a
command to pull all windows which have any of the specified tags to
current group. Bind some tags to F1-F10 instead of groups, and you are done.

Have you seen the redisplay command? It resizes dialog windows to
full-frame.
