Hi Nils,

The patch looks good.  I'm a bit concerned about changing the base
group index though.  It seems like the logical thing to do, but it
might break existing setups.  Also note that function keys are bound
to groups by default, so <prefix> F1 takes you to group 1.  If we
change the base index I suppose we'd want to change those bindings.
