                           March 29th - 31st 2002

The Columbia Basin Research (CBR¹), a research unit of the School of
Aquatic & Fishery Sciences, Quantitative Ecology & Resource Management
Program (QERM²) at the University of Washington, and the Swarm
Development Group³ are pleased to announce SwarmFest 2002, the sixth
annual Swarm users meeting.

At SwarmFest 2002, scientists, modellers, and programmers working in a
wide variety of domains get the opportunity to share their knowledge
and experience with multi-agent modelling including (but not
restricted to) the Swarm simulation system. The Swarm Development
Group also uses the meeting to help determine future development
priorities, so come and tell us what's on your mind! The meeting is a
cross section of the community, historically including content
suitable for both inexperienced and experienced users.

During the conference, users will present talks including time for
discussion following each presentation. Please send proposals (only a
few paragraphs should be necessary) for presentations, demonstrations,
break-out-sessions, or any other suggestions to:

                           address@hidden

To ensure that your proposal has full consideration, please submit
your proposals by February 15th, however, later submittals may be
considered only as the schedule allows. We will be publishing the
SwarmFest 2002 proceedings. Please be prepared to submit your
abstracts and papers in electronic form!

SwarmFest 2002 will commence with a reception on Friday March 29th,
2002 from 6:15 to 7:00 pm in the Walker Ames Room of Kane Hall,
University of Washington. Dinner will follow immediately after the
reception.

The meeting, proper, will be on Saturday March 30th and Sunday March
31st 2002, in the Mary Gates Hall* (Room 241) at the University of
Washington. The program scheduling, registration and accomodation
details are in development are at, and will be periodically updated as
