László Gulyás and Tamás Kozsik of the Central European University
(CEU) in Budapest have implemented an agent-based modeling language
that targets the Swarm API. The idea is to provide a model
description language that captures many common Swarm modeling patterns
in a more straightforward, easy-to-learn way than can be achieved
using a library API.

At SwarmFest, they demonstrated some prototype CASE tools targeted for
MAML, but I don't think these tools are ready for distribution yet...
At SFI, we aren't contemplating anything like MAML -- the kinds of
features you can expect from the SFI Hive are lower-level IDE
integration features like clean support for Java environments
like Visual Age or hybrid development environments like Apple WebObjects.
