hihi, all -
well, i'm on alex's side on this one - it is too easy to embed uninterpreted
codes into a message that is not visible in its raw form - even under windows,
i look at an attachment before i blindly open it
the point is that as soon as you get a communication culture that does not
regularly examine the basics of its communications, you get the opportunity
for trouble - things like the "i love you" virus and related phenomena
i want ascii, only - if you send me anything else, i examine it to see if it
looks right before doing anything else (and if it does not seem like there
will be enough interesting enough stuff there to warrant the effort, then i do
not look at it at all) - if you want your message read, make it ascii (or even
better eventually, unicode)
