The Java front end for Swarm is underway. We'll post a status report
pretty soon. But, as for any X chicanery being useless work....
How can you even ask such a question! [grin] Everything one learns
about X is valuable!!!
Seriously, it's probably not useless work because: a) some people
won't move to the Java front end right away (some people are still
using Swarm-961002), b) there may be use for X chicanery even from
the version of Swarm that uses Java, and c) the Java front end might
be late. It's scheduled for end of September; but, it's always
possible that it will be delayed.
