Dear Calvin,Thanks for the heads-up. I've now updated the key expiration and modernized the manual to include the better style of enabling the key.
I'm using /usr/share/keyrings/taler-systems.gpg for the file name, I hope that's a good choice. Do let me know if there is a more canonical one (I'm a bit unhappy about writing anything to /usr...).
Happy hacking! Christian On 1/1/23 23:59, Calvin Burns via Taler wrote:
Happy new year everyone. The debian repo key 0x26E546A5FE7E0266 is expired. As a side note: in the GNU Taler manual "apt-key add" is used. The Debian manual recommends [1] to copy the key instead to /some/path/taler.gpg (binary format) and then use a line like "deb [signed-by=/some/path/taler.gpg] https://deb.taler.net/apt/debian bullseye main" in /etc/sources.d/taler.list. according to apt-key(8) apt-key is deprecated [1] https://debian-handbook.info/browse/stable/sect.package-authentication.html
