Well, like I said, it's been a while since I've dealt with multi-platform binary directories, but I seem to recall that there was usually a single, separate directory for platform-independent stuff. Of course this doesn't really lead me to any obvious conclusion about how an installer that installs platform dependent binaries for a single platform plus some platform independent stuff should behave since my idea of texi2html ignoring --enable-multiplatform would cause texi2html to overwrite previous installs when multiple TeX Live installations were run for diverse platforms.
I suppose it won't cost us much to support it. You have an opinion, Patrice?
