tcc complains (incorrectly) on the following code:
--8<---------:- snip -:---------8<---------:- snip -:---------8<--
int main() {
/* this is a valid *\/ comment */
}
--8<---------:- snip -:---------8<---------:- snip -:---------8<--
The backslash-escape code is turning '*\/' into '*/', which
then closes the comment, leaving 'comment */' as tokens
in the input stream.
