Worth publishing that info and the reply on a wider basis. They'll soon change
their tune once they gain a reputation as arrogant fools writing software that
cries wolf. I don't use AV either (Grishka said he didn't). There are plenty of
other ways to be safe. Using AV is like depending on eye scanners and retinal
'fingerprinting' when it's much easier to put locks on the right doors.
My guess is they just use their 'heuristic' guessing games to identify patterns
of code behaviour and name it with the nearest known worm-name they can find
that resembles what they see, to keep up appearances of knowing stuff. It's
paranoia taken beyond usefulness, it's almost psychedelic, like seeing faces in
patterns in woodchip wallpaper, or ghouls in clouds. This strategy will
eventually bite them from behind, in the end, so to speak...
