Thanks.
Some notes about scoring: I noticed during the contest that IT9 was only
awarded 3 points instead of 10 so I said to myself "I'll just add it
to the country
list later". It's a bit more complicated.
"QSO with EU station" is 10 points. What constitutes a "EU station" is
a (legal and political) mess,
fortunately they seem to mean [*] "stations in 'EU regions' in the
following list", that send RST + EU REGION.
The list includes gems like DK Overseas Countries and Territories with
a note they mean Greenland (no Faroe?),
FR French Guyana, Guadeloupe, Martinique etc... and so on. Most common
"dubious" cases
are Azores, Canary Islands, Balearic, Ceuta & Melilla off the top of my head.
The plugin interface has a scoring function so I think it's perhaps
easier to just use that
instead of the country list and just look at the exchange. At a quick
glance at plugin.c, this would
require exposing the own call information to determine own/different
country/continent from
python.
[*] I wanted to ask the contest committee for clarification, but being
true to form to the EU
that's only possible via a contact form that's limited to 180 characters :-)
