Hi,

Did some more testing today, including some minor paint fixes, and it does 
seem more snappy now though the reason is a bit unclear.
Generally, a stereo audioclip of about 900 pixels width paints in ~ 1 
millisecond here now, which I think isn't bad :D

I also noticed that audioclip hover is broken in 'effects view' for the medium 
contrast theme :( 
And I've no idea why...

So far the latest cvs changes.... Oh, also a fix in the file reading code, 
looks like it's stabilizing a bit now.
