It seems that __USE_GNU depends on _GNU_SOURCE, and __USE_MISC depends
on either _BSD_SOURCE or _SVID_SOURCE. I would favor defining
_BSD_SOURCE, as this should be closer to Solaris (the other TSP
platform).
