I have been out of the vm loop for a couple of years. My current version
is 8.1.1 which I imagine is getting long in the tooth.
I see that 8.1.2 is the latest stable release and that there is an 8.2
and 8.3 development branch.
I don't need perfectly bug proof code but on the other hand, I do want
something that will work 99.9% of the time.
So, is the 8.2 branch mostly stable and ready for release or should I
upgrade to 8.1.2 or is 8.1.1 close enough to 8.1.2 that I might as well
sit with what I have?
