Hi Daniel,

This does seem like a bug and we don't have any issues about it.

If you would like to create a bug report on gitlab in
  https://gitlab.com/emacs-vm/vm

If you don't want to setup a gitlab account, I can file the bug
report, however you would get notified of any progress.

Right now, the revitalized VM has limited bandwidth and
skill sets to work on bugs, so I can't predict when it would fix.
