[Chinese-authors] Whereabouts and Chinese Name of author

Hello:

 

I studied Chinese language at the University of California at Santa Barbara in the mid 70's.  My professor was named Kenneth Bai and was a reputed author in Taiwan.  I would like to know his Chinese name. As a possible identifier, I remember that his father was a warlord and active with the Guo Min Tang.
