guess the problem is solved now, but just FYI the code did compile on
the openSUSE build server for x64. The server automatically generates
packages for 32 and 64 bit for various openSUSE versions. It also can
produce debian/ubuntu and fedora packages, but I don't know how to
create the input files for those...Anyway, the 64-bit version creation
doesn't fail ;)
