This had escaped me, as I almost always build out-of-tree but rarely in
a clean directory.

Committed a variant of your change, tagged as v0.9.211 , updated Jitter
submodule in Poke.

José, I am assuming these Jitter fixes only touching the submodule all
count as "obvious changes" in Poke.  Please tell me if I am being too
aggressive when pushing to master.
