Monday, Nov 9th 2009 - ESP today launches a news site, with comments forum,
to keep people up to date with software patents issues including the Bilski
hearing which starts today.

                           http://news.swpat.org

More information about today's hearing can be found in this story:

             http://news.swpat.org/2009/11/gear-up-for-bilski/

People interested in campaigns against software patents are invited to
follow the RSS feed and to add their comments to the stories to make this
site a great information sharing resource.

                   RSS feed: http://news.swpat.org/feed/

news.swpat.org is partly inspired by Groklaw.net's work and the initial aim
is to follow that style with one article per day. Information from
news.swpat.org will also be used to further expand ESP's wiki:

                         http://en.swpat.org/wiki/

The news site and the wiki are collaborative tools, so you can help by
contributing information to both. The Bilski case will take up most
attention in the coming days, but the news site has a global focus. There
worrying initiatives in many regions including Isreal, India, New Zealand,
Costa Rica, Chile, and in the EU, so many campaigns are necessary. More
information here:

            http://en.swpat.org/wiki/en.swpat.org:Current_events
            http://en.swpat.org/wiki/Countries_and_regions

You can expect to see news about these regions in the coming weeks and
months on news.swpat.org, but ESP relies on your help for local information.
