Thanks for the report and attempt at a patch.  Yes, that sounds like a
useful functionality to add to find.  However, since your patch is
non-trivial, we either need you to submit copyright assignment to the
FSF, or you will have to wait for someone else to implement the same
idea without borrowing from your patch.  Is copyright assignment
something you are willing to pursue?  My understanding is that the FSF
allows individuals to complete assignment (which requires their legal
name) while still using a preferred pseudonym on the public patches,
although most contributors don't try to hide behind a pseudonym.

That's weird, because the latest findutils.git has:
AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION([0.18.1])

What version of autopoint are you running?  It could be that you have a
buggy version of gettext (the source of autopoint) installed on your
system.  We really do need the patch against findutils.git rather than a
prior tarball.
