Have you found ANY font that works? If not, it may well be the rendering
system that's at fault (in fact, I'm pretty sure it is). The fact that
the unicode website says something should happen in a certain way
doesn't mean that everyone has actually implemented it that way yet.
Since you don't tell us what rendering system you are using, we can't be
any more definite.
