SSIF isn't supported with FreeIPMI on FreeBSD for now AFAIK :-(

I've seen these same errors with empty cache files. This is due to not
checking enough for EOF in the code and is harmless.

It does polling, checking for some condition each small fraction of time.
That's OK, I think.
