The sparc have a boot prom, and with the equivalent of dmidecode (prtconf) i 
see nothing explicitly named as ipmi.
But there are some non-explicit names like SUNW,smbus-ppm, 
SUNW,smbus-fan-control.
The success of the first command is a good sign?


I will make an updated patch with yours suggestions.
