Hi Stavros, Camm.

I don't have the ridgie-didge release version of Maxima in front of me, but
using plain Maxima (ie, not XMaxima) under Win XP built with yesterday's GCL
these problems don't manifest for me.

They seem to be related to XMaxima as Winkill is part of that system.
