[Gcl-devel] Re: Fwd: building gcl-2.6.8pre

Greetings, and thanks so much for your helpful feedback!

1) install.lsp appears to be loaded only in this windows specific file
   (gcl.iss):

[Run]
Filename: "{app}\bin\sysdir.bat"; Parameters: "{app}\lib\gcl-2.6.8\unixport\"
Filename: "{app}\lib\gcl-2.6.8\unixport\saved_gcl.exe"; Parameters: -load
{app}/install/install.lsp
Filename: "{app}\bin\gcl.bat"; Description: "Launch GNU Common Lisp"; Flags:
postinstall skipifsilent

I honestly have no idea how this file is invoked yet in the windows
installation process. I will try to educate myself, but perhaps this
rings a bell with you?

2) The function

(defun break-current ()
  (if *break-level*
      (format *debug-io* "Broken at ~:@(~S~)." (ihs-fname *current-ihs*))
      (format *debug-io* "~&Top level."))
  (values))

in gcl_top.lsp appears not to have changed. What was the previous
break output with the proceed language?

3) The temp directory reporting is deliberate. The newline before the
trailing slash is worrisome. Does (disassemble '(lambda nil nil))
   work?

Take care,
