Greetings!  Have you tried a fresh cvs checkout of the 2.6.8pre
branch?   gcc as you know has become more restrictive, and we've
adjusted a bit accordingly.  Just in case this is the problem.

cvs -d:pserver:address@hidden:/sources/gcl co -d gcl-2.6.8pre 
-rVersion_2_6_8pre gcl

Please let me know if problems persist.

BTW, axiom finally building on mips, mipsel still position +400 on the
glacial queue.
