SMSD - Segmentation fault

Hi,
After Starting SMSD (smsd -u sms -p password -m mysql -c 127.0.0.1),
it just sits there and doesnt go into the background by itself, if I
control-z the
process and put it in the background myself and do a PS -AX

  323 pts/1    S      0:00 smsd -m mysql -u xxx -p xxxxx -d xxx -c xxxxxxxxx
  324 pts/1    S      0:00 smsd -m mysql -u xxx -p xxxxx -d xxx -c xxxxxxxxx
  325 pts/1    S      0:00 smsd -m mysql -u xxx -p xxxxx -d xxx -c xxxxxxxxx

I get the above but no sms's get processed, and after a while SMSD crashes
with the
output SEGMENTATION FAULT.

Anybody know the solution??
