I thought so from the beginning that you don't like it that I change
stuff in the linuxirda.h. Try the second patch. It's clutters device.c
with a lot #ifndef...#endif, but it's cleaner coding.
I had to remove all the calls to irda_...() functions, otherwise I get
linker problems with undefined functions.
The first part is in CVS.
