Compiling gnokii package on SuSE linux aborts

Hi,

when I try to compile the latest CVS version of gnokii,
simply after "autoconf" i get the error :

configure.in:20: error: possibly undefined macro: AM_GNU_GETTEXT

If I continue, "autoheader" works ok, but "./configure" gives the error:

...
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile.global
config.status: creating po/Makefile.in
config.status: error: cannot find input file: po/Makefile.in.in

Is there a known error  in the configuration or am I simply missing some 
file(s)?
