What is your phone type? 8110 and 8210 is quite different.

Maybe your 8210 doesn't support irda (like 6110) just a much simpler
protocol. Try connection = infrared instead of it. Look into the
documentation for details. Please don't forget to disable the kernel
irda support if you want to use infrared.

0.3.4 is quite old. Please test it with the latest version (0.5.5).
