"right" is whatever you want. But the serial port speed and the GPS
speed must match for anything to happen.

Yup.
Just be careful with higher speeds. Some GPS work fnr for me at 460800
other have issues at 115200.

Like a lot of stuff, try it. Be prepared to change your mind when the
unexpected/unwanted happens.
