The list is not dead. Here a status report of what I´m doing:

- I wrote a long option interface for the groff programs.
The interface programming is done, but it must be integrated in groff.
If someone is interested I can mail a prerelease version.

- The roff(7) man page (a survey of the groff system) is done, but
should be shaped a bit.  

- The groff(7) manpage describing the groff language is half done.

I´m not sure if these should go to 1.16, but surely to 1.17.
