Hello Bash community!
My entire question is on the subject. If there doesn't exist an explicit
setting for this, how can I achieve similar behavior?
There's no setting to make readline's vi mode act this way. The POSIX
standard for sh line editing requires the bash/readline behavior, so
that's what readline does.
