Empty gcov data

Hi,

I want to use gcov to verify the test coverage of a C++ library which is linked with libraries developped by another company.
The program is embedded and run continuously. It is not possible to end its execution excepted by killing its process (kill -9, kill -15 or other ways).

Unfortunately the gcov data  file ".da" seems to be generated only at the end of the execution and it is not generated when the process is killed.
Can I flush this file during the execution or sending a signal before killing the process?

Best regards,

Alexandre
